About the artist . .

Lynne A Liechty

Lynne’s formal training in art began early in childhood (during the 1960’s) and included instruction at the Toledo Museum of Art, followed by attending the Silvermine College of Art in New Canaan Connecticut. With the 70’s came an Honor Scholarship at Murray State College of Fine Art. Then while completing her B.S. degree at the University of Kentucky, she was particularly privileged to explored ceramics with renowned professor John Tuska.

Her first works beyond the classroom were pen & ink drawings, and her first income from art was in the form of limited edition Equine prints supplied to the Kentucky State Horse Park.

From pen & ink, Lynne gravitated to painting in watercolor, then finally to acrylics. And today, she devotes all creative time exclusively to translating her imagination onto canvas:

“My work is best described as expressionist (a blend of realism interlaced with contemporary stylistic expressions)
